Speedometer wont work

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with about 107000 miles on it. Just today the car shook slightly while I was backing out of a parking spot and since then my speedometer isnt working, and my brake and abs lights on the dash are on. On the way home, my truck shifted in and out of OD while cruising. What could be the problem? On another note, I notice that when its cold out my truck wont shift into overdrive until I drive it for a couple miles. Is that something that is gonna kill me to get fixed?

Now check engine light on or anything. Has youre trucks transmission been serviced, tranny filter and fluids changed. Could have a problem with youre VSS inside youre transmission.

Check your ECT, TPS and VSS these sensors controls the shifting/OD/ and Lock-up
