Dodge Dakota

1989 dodge dakota, 2.5L, 150k+, manual
Engine starts and runs smoothly for several minutes then revs for several seconds and dies. If I try to restart it will backfire and I have to pump accelerator
to keep engine running.
Replaced oxygen, idle throttle sensors with no change. Could this be computer? How can I know for sure? Thank you for any help.
