My battery died a couple of weeks ago in my truck and had to be replaced. The truck ran perfectly smooth before this but, since the first time I started the truck after putting in the new battery the engine idle is a little rough when I first start it and when I am stopped at a light or sign. There is also a small ticking sound being made when it is started but goes away once you begin to move. Both of these issues began after I changed the battery.

Hi jmos23, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Dead battery or disconnecting a battery will cause the PCM to lose its programmed memories-could be the idle air control valve going thru its relearning process to control /target the idle speed to include the throttle position sensor
