Engine light stays on but when I disconnect battery and reconnect light will go out for awhile then it comes back can you give me an idea on what to do next

Hi:

If the light keeps coming on, there is a reason. The computer needs to be scanned for codes. Most nationally recognized auto parts stores (Auto Zone) will scan for free.

Have the computer scanned, get the code, identify the problem, and repair. That will keep the light off.
