Transmission problem
2001 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

We recently had a transmission rebuilt for my brothers truck and after hooking everything back up and finsh putting it in the engine is not reciveing any power and the motor will not turn over. we rechecked everything twice. My question is WHAT HAVE WE DONE WRONG? If you have any helpful advice or tips pls let me know.

Sincerly,
Marti

Hi: Check the starter to make sure the wires wern't damaged or broken. Also, check to see if you're getting power to the starter. With a volt gauge, check for power to the smaller of the two wires while you have a helper turn the key to the start position. You should have 12 volts. Finally, was the battery ground replaced to the engine block and is it tight and clean?

Let me know what you find.
