Noises problem
2000 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Automatic 123000 miles

When I go over bumps and uneven spots on the road, we hear a rattling noise. It sounds as if is is coming from the truck bed. The noise had gotten louder when we had 4 new tires put on. Do you know what this could be from? I've checked and don't see anything loose underneath.

Our power windows and locks also just stopped today as well. I replaced the fuse however; that did not fix the problem.

Check to make sure the noise isn't the tail gate. Also, take a rubber mallot and tap on the exhaust. You may have a loose heat shield on the exhaust system or internally the resinator or catylatic converter could have come loose.

As far as the windows and locks, recheck the fuses and even if they look good, check them for continunity. They can look good but be bad. Finally, check under the hood in the power distribution box for blown fuses or bad relays.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
