Truck will start, run for a second, and then die. If I start the truck and pedal the gas I can keep it running. What could it be... fuel filter, pressure regulator, or a sensor?

I have not been able to perform tests yet due to work schedule. But today after work I came home and was going to start diagnosing the problem. The truck started right up with no problems. It had a smooth idle and there were no warnings lights. ???? I started and stopped the truck multiple times with no problem. What could get better by just sitting in the drive way?

Test the engine coolant temperature and throttle position sensor and idle air control valve/motor. If all checked out-perform a fuel pressure check and comeback with your findings.
