Truck sputters, blows white smoke, and finally stalls on long uphill stretches. Otherwise the truck runs perfectly. I am not having any loss of power issues or stalling, sputtering, etc when WOT on flat surfaces. In order to start car after the stall I have to depress gas pedal.

The first question I had was did you check fuel pressure. However, the white smoke has me concerned. Do you find that you are adding engine coolant to the vehicle very often? White smoke us usually caused by coolant getting into the combustion chamber and burning. This type of problem is usually caused by a bad head gasket.

Let me know.
