Sometimes when I get out of my truck my brake light stays on. I have to keep stepping on and pulling up the pedal for it to go off. Do you have any suggestions

If you disconnect the switch and the lite is still On-the wire when it leaves the brake switch is shorted to a power source somewhere within the electrical system which is hot at all times could be the wires on the brake connector is shorted together

It has nothing to do with the VSS-

I have to keep stepping on and pulling up the pedal for it to go off.

What did you do with the brakes switch earlier-replace it?
