How do you tighten the mirrors so they dont fold in while driving.

Is the mirror mount loose from the door or does the mirror swing in and not stay where set? I'm going to assume the mirror won't stay where you put it as that is a common problem.

Remove the handles on the inside of the door if the truck is equipped with them. Pop the door panel loose at the upper corner at the front of the door and prop open with a wood block. Be careful here but you can open op a gap of several inches for access. There are 3 hex head bolts that holds the mirror onto the door. Remove these and the mirror is off.

Remove the trim piece that covers the mount area where the mirror mounts to the door. Inside you will see a clamp arrangment that clamps over the mirror arm. Tighten this clamp TIGHT and this is what hold the mirror in place. Be careful not to strip the screws out that hold the clamp in place.

Put everything back in place.

Now, having said the above, these arms sometimes will not tighten and stay no matter how tight you tighten the clamp, the assembly may need replaced.
