There is a knock in the front differential. How hard is it to fix and how do you fix it. I am thinking of buying this truck and I need to know this. Thank You

Do you have any idea what or where the noise is coming from? Are you sure it is the differential? The worst case I would estimate around 1000.00 if it needs rebuilt. However, there are so many of them in the salvage yards as a result of the cash for clunkers, you could most likely find the entire thing the a couple hundred and then pay someone the same to install it.

NOTE: If you choose to do that, make sure to get the same gear ratio. You CAN NOT mix ratios with a 4x4.

Let me know if you have other questions.
