1988 Dodge Dakota NO Reverse

Someone had told me since the reverse went out on my transmission that it could be a seal on the side of the transmission if this is not it could you help with my problem? Thanks

Unfortunately I think its deeper than a seal. Id have a transmission shop road test it, they should be able to tell you. Hope this helps
