Transmission problem
1989 Dodge Colt Automatic

My engine which is a 4g63 just got rebuilt. Everything was fine before and everything was fine for about 10 min after. After It was put back in a drive around the block resulted in the car not moving anymore......the engine still runs but it wont get into gear....is there a easy fix besides getting a whole new transmission?

Sometimes a high mileage engine renewal will take out the front driving components if an auto transaxle. It is like an older man marrying a very young woman. What failed should be dtermined by your engine repair team. It happened to me once, 26 years ago. check the level and condition of the transmission fluid in neutral, not park. Is the shift selector cable ok? It may be something simple like these two things.
