2008 Dodge Charger Stuck In Park
Transmission problem
2008 Dodge Charger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles
The engine starts and the steering wheel moves but the transmission will not move out of park. I tried the pink release button but didn't help.
What is causing this problem? It worked OK the last time I used the vehicle.

I am currently having this problem...NOT A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM..I sure hope you didn't have someone fix your transmission. I was thinking the same thing..The override(pink release) was broken or detached from something..I had to break down the console and manually press the pink tab at the top of the gear shift(while I moved it in gear)..to move it out of park..It does fine once it is out of park..
