2007 Dodge Charger Fluid in the air filter

Steering problem
2007 Dodge Charger 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 67000 miles

I recently had my car serviced at the local express oil change center. Upon singing the release form to receive my car back, the technician explained that I had a server power steering leak located at the reserve. Figuring a hose leak was the culprit. I inspected my car at home searching for any hose leaks or cracks in the reserve, and couldn’t find any leakages. After following a trail of dark red (almost purplish) fluid coming from underneath the reserve I noticed it was coming from my air filter housing. At bottom of the housing was a puddle of this dark fluid and the left side of the filter was soaked. Why would this fluid be leaking into the air filter? And, could it be anything other than power steering fluid?
