My 1996 dodge caravan se 3.0 l with 126000 miles was running fine at about 25mph. Suddenly the engine just shut off. I tried to restart and nothing but engine turning over and over. I replaced catalytic converter aprox. 3000miles ago. I thought perhaps the fuel pump. Is there any way to confirm this or any other possibilities? I do notsmell any fuel when hood opened. And I sprayed starter into the intake w no results.

Well try this and if fail`s then it will be your fuel pump!
Get in the vehicle and roll up the windows and listen very carefull and you should hear a buzzing noise coming from the back of the van this meaning your fuel pump is working and if not your fuel pump is the problem or a fuse check everything before u install the pump as these can be very expensive

Also to verify that the pump is faulty alot of times I have taken a hammer and hit the tank not really hard so as to damage anything but hard enough to jar the pump try this if the vehicle starts you know its the pump and you wont need to check anything electrically
