At a routine oil change from the dealership, the mechanic said the struts need to be replaced....for $580. I am surprised that is necessary at such a low mileage. Is it really necessary?

Hi there,

If the struts are leaking, yes they should be replaced. I would go get a few quotes first to try and get a better price.

Are they leaking or have you noticed a difference in the ride or handling? Did he say why he thought they needed to be replaceed?
