Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150K miles

Driving my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan on the Highway with no issues and I stopped to fill up with Gas. Got back on the highway and within a minute the cruise control starting acting funny as it seemed that the engine was losing power. Got to the exit and the engine was running very rough with smoke coming out of the exhaust and had very little power. I could clearly smell gas and I actually used up about a quarter tank of gas to dirve about 30 miles.
What could cause this?

If your seeing black smoke its from too much fuel being burned, it could be a bad sensor or fuel system pressure problem. Have someone(or you) check for fault codes at the OBD connector using a scan tool, they have a great article here about using a scan tool to look for problems that cause this type of condition, ok sir.
