I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan and 2 days ago I replaced the battery due to the orginal being bad. When first started the car the tach jumped and then back to normal everything was fine. Now none of the guages work including odometer, turn signals and warning lights. Any ideas??? Please help!

What led up to the battery replacement? Was the only reason that the battery light came on?

For some reason the cluster isn't getting power, it sounds like.

Hi thanks for the reply, We came out and the battery was dead. Took the battery out to be checked and it tested bad, so replaced it. Everything was fine before the battery went dead.

I'd like to say I know the answer. First I would check for a blown fuse. However, I have no info on a fuse for that. You may need to have the codes read out of the computer and or the Body control module for a starting point.

I found it surprizing that a mopar battery would die in 4 years, they are useally one of the stronger runners, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I just had one in the shop today. Makes it easier to have one to work with.

Do this:
Perform the self-diagnosics test-
With the ignition in the off position, press the "trip/odometer" reset button and hold it until Sof and a number appears.release the button. A fault code will hopefully be displayed. IT will be 3 digits, decimal point, one digit ie. (100.2)

With the code, we can go further.

I did what you said and it said SoF 4.1 then started counting 100.1 through 100.9 then stayed on E 400.1 hopes this helps. Yesterday the gauges starting working again but when we would turn on the blinkers the guages would peg and nothing worked again. Today nothing works. Thanks in advance for all your help.

The 400.1 is "improper power down" from the battery replacement. Run the test again.
