My minivan is making a sound from the belt side passenger side, everything looks good on that side. the noise comes from inside of the engine is like "gears running without grease" and I am not sure if is the timing chain

Have the water pump checked. If you want to do it yourself, remove the serp belt and start the engine to see if the sound is gone. NOTE: DO NOT run the engine more than a few seconds to determine if the sound is gone. It will overheat.
