2001 Dodge Caravan cv axle movement and noise

i have a grinding metal on metal noise coming from my driverside front end when i drive it gets loader and faster as you go faster indicating its part of the driveline and not engine noise at stop in park high rpms no noise. i lifted my vehicle took off my tire and had wife put in drive as the cv axle spins the transmision side wobbles and the outside of the cv shaft is scraping on the outside of the transmision case is there something wrong with the transmision making it wobble when it should stay straight or is the cv axle shaft entering the transmision bent?
