I have an after market remote start/alarm. I've been having two problems. When I hit the unlock button on the fob, sometimes it works; most times it doesn't. My car alarm has been going off all by itself, even when it's not armed. I usually just hit the lock button on the door when I get home and it still starts alarming

If it is an aftermarket alarm, I won't have any information on it.

Kinda lame reply. You can't offer any generalized possibilities?I've heard suggestions like: pull the fuse for the horn or check the door sensors to see if they're registering. I've had suspicions about my inigition switch. When I hit unlock on the fob, the door buttons make as to go up, but stay down. If the doors are unlocked and I hit the unlock button on the fob, the doors will lock, Sometimes, when I hit unlock on the fob, all doors will unlock except either the driver's door or the rear gate. Sometimes the rear gate doesn't unlock when I hit the unlock button on the door. All of these symptons seem like they should point at something, but you're in the dasrk because it's an after market device. Thanks anyway.

I realize it is a vague answer, but there are so many types of these alarms, it is hard to tell. Based on your description, it sounds like a bad ground, but at what point is the question.

No, not at all. Please, I didn't mean that. It is just so hard to keep track of all the different brands.

Interesting thing is, my doctor presently has me on the same thing. Four years ago, I developed UC. No one knows what causes it and the only way to get rid of it is to remove half the digestive track. However, I go Monday to see a surgeon. I'm not liking that at all and plan to fight it However, he is concerned it may turn to cancer which is even worse.

Please let me know if I can help in any other way.

Joe

Thanks. Let me know if I can help. I really feel bad I didn't.

The health issue, it like they all say. If you don't have your health, you have nothing. I'll make it. I hope everything with you is okay.
