2000 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The ignition or key switch in my van seems to be locked. The key will go in but will not turn. The wheels are locked and it is in park. It has been doing this sporadically for a couple of months, and usually after a few tries, it eventually starts. I drove it quite a bit today with several stops and starts with no problems, but at my last stop it decided to be stubborn. I have tried for a total of about 30 minutes with no luck. Any ideas?

Need to have the ignition cylinder replaced
if u can not get it to turn your best bet is a lock smith
if you can get it to turn then you can remove it and replace it

I would suggest lock smith
use your old key to code a new cylinder will be the best way
