My air conditioner still blows with the same output as before but not it will only blow hot air. Not knowing much about vehicles and since my husband is deployed, I do not want to be swindled. What might cause this problem and how expensive of a fix am I facing? BTW- I did not even know this service existed 'till I started my web search on my AC problem. Thank you for helping me out!

The A/C system probably just need to be recharged. It shouldn't take more than about $150 to get the A/C system recharged at an auto shop.

I agree with Don, but keep in mind that there may be more to it.

IF the system was slowly losing it's effectiveness, then there is a good chance of a recharge to solve it. However, if it was cold one day and went warm the next there is probably a leak and a recharge will be short lived if it isn't found. I suggest getting dye injected into the system if there is no leak found. THis way if there is a slow leak, there is a better chance of identifying it.

There are good garages out there that are upstanding. A/C services can really strain a customer/shop relationship when leaks happen.
