I am not sure if your working with a 3.0L or a 3.3, 3.8L. But you must take the entire air cleaner box off to access the rear plugs. The top of the air cleaner snaps off with clips, or plastic fastners. The housing is held on with a couple of bolts and the hoses must be disconnected from it to get it out of the way. Then you can get to them with a 3 inch extension, ratchet, and spark plug socket. Both are pretty much the same. The air intake hose must be unscrewed from the throttle body, just like a large radiator hose. If you have a lift, you can access all 3 from underneath. OK, I hope this helps somewhat. It's tough the first time, I suggest doing from above.

Its really tough to get the back 3, you gotta use small arms and be able to feel around correctly. If your engine is a 3.0L like mine, the one on the far left can only be accessed by removing the alternator completely. It's difficult but can indeed be done.
