My 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with 134500 miles starts just fine with all indicator lights coming on and most of them going off as usual. However, the ABC light stays on. As soon I put it in drive, the service engine comes on. I also have no guages working at all. Water temp, speedometer or electronic odometer don't work.
It shifts fine and ends up in overdrive like it is supposed too with no wierd noises or lurching or any other unsavory things taking place. The steering wheel cruise control functions work as does the horn. The engine runs and sounds normal. The tranny was rebuilt in March '07 and has been working fine.
I get codes 12, 37, 66 and 55 when I run the ignition switch on/off 3 times diagnostic. I know that 12 is battery recently disconnected and 55 is for end of codes, so they're okay codes. My Chilton lists 3 different discrepancies for 37 one of which is park/neutral switch stuck which might explain the service engine light coming on when I put it in drive. But what about the ABC and no guages? Code 66 indicates no CCD messages from the Body Control Module (BCM) or the transmission control module (TCM).
I disconnected the battery and left it that way for 30 minutes or more. After I reconnected and restarted, the ABC light stayed on and the service engine light came on again as soon as I put it in drive. Still no guages.
Any idea what is going on? If it is the park/neutral switch, where do I find it. Steering column, under hood, or on transmission? What about the BCM or TCM units. Can I get to them without special equipment or should I give my mechanic a call?
Appreciate your assistance.

Thanks!

ABS light on
you need a scanner to check for codes
and once you do you can post them back for more info.
As for the cluster
since its shifting OK and all not working
the most common is a bad cluster
you have to remove it
that could be a pain but it can be done
after removing the cluster remove the cardboard cover in the back remove circuit panel board and check in the middle for a broken weld

Park neutral switch is on the tranny similar to this

it called tranny range switch
