My Van makes a jerky intend to shift gears when accelarating and slipps, or delay the acceleration also, the check engine light turns on. I changed the plugs and cables and the distributor ignition coil. When the computer was connected it said "manufacturer engine missfire". At this point don't know what it is all I know is that it gets better with high octane gasoline but still does it.
Do you think might has something to do with the gas pump? Thanks for the help

after replacing the plugs, wires... has the check engine light come back on? Is it the same code? Do you know the number of the code?

Has anyone checked the fuel pump pressure and the crank sensor?

Let me know.

Thanks for the help. Yes the code is the same, I don't know the number of the code, it read "manufacture engine missfire". I changed the crank sensor and the problem hapens less frequently but only one jerk instead of double push as before.
How do you check the fuel pump pressure?

again, thanks for your answer, you are seem to be in the right track

I wanted to post the code here to update you on the repair progress. Today I ran the diagnostics again. The computer put out the code P1391, "Manufacturer control Ignition System or Missfire". If follow the normal troubleshooting procedure in the computer, it would say:
Camshaft position sensor, camshaft sprocket or camshaft thrust plate. I already changed the first one (camshaft position sensor)

Please, advise do you think I should the next part? camshaft sprocket?

Thank you
