GOT A 98 DODGE CARAVAN 3.3 L SPORT (THATS FOR PRIDE REASONS HA). HERE ARE MY PROBLEMS AND WHAT I'VE DONE. MY BATTERY WENT OUT ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO. SO I HAD TO USE ANOTHER BATTERY TO GET TO WORK. ITS A SHARED VAN. WIFE AND I. I PUT MORE MILES ON IT THEN HER. WHEN I PUT A BATTERY FROM A 93 FORD RANGER. WHEN I DID THAT I KNEW THAT THE BATTERY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE MY ALL POWER VAN. MY REAR WIPER BUTTONS FLASH AS WELL AS THE AC AND VENT. THEN I HAD NOTICE PROBLEMS WHEN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE MY DASH WILL GET NO POWER. NO MPH, RPM, TANK GAUGE, TEMP GAUGE. THE FIRST CLUE TO WHEN THAT OCCURS THE ABS LIGHT WILL COME ON. I WILL HAVE TO SLAP THE DASH A FEW TIMES IN A CERTAIN PLACE AND IT WILL START WORKING. A COUPLE WEEKS AGO ONE OF THE POWER CABLE TO THE BATTERY TERMINAL HAD SLIPPED OUT. NOTICED IT FIXED ALL GOOD. ON HIGH WAY TWO DAYS LATER THE SAME CABLE COMES OUT. THAT CABLE IS COMING FROM THE FUSE BEHIND THE BATTERY. PULLED WHEN I NOTICE MY DASH STARTED JUMPING AND LOOSING PRESSURE WHEN I ACCELERATE. PULL OVER PUT IT BACK ON AND NOTICE I HAVE DASH, INTERIOR LIGHTS, HEAD LIGHTS, AND HORN. BEAT THE DASH AND FEW MORE TIMES THEN NORMAL AND ALL COMES BACK ON AFTER A MILE DOWN DRIVING. NOW MY VAN HAS RAN HOT BUT REPLACED THE RADIATOR, RAN HOT, LET COOL DRIVE AGAIN 3-4 HRS LATER. THEN WHILE ON HIGHWAY FEEL A JERK WHILE ACCELERATING, RPM GOES TO 4000 AND WON'T GO NO FASTER THEN 55. WENT TO A FEW TRANS SHOPS. ONE SAYS COULD BE A WIRE BUT THEY FEEL TO REBUILD IT THATS 1200-2000. TO ANOTHER THAT SAYS A PIECE OF THE TRANS SOLENOID HE WILL DO FOR 250. ANOTHER ASE CERT GUY SAYS IT COULD BE A COMPUTER. I HAVE DRIVEN LIKE THIS FOR ABOUT 10-20 MILES. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT COULD.. ONE MORE THING WAS THIS TO LONG OR VERY IMPORTANT DETAILS.
