1998 Dodge Caravan Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8L low oil pressur

Oil pressure warning light comes on at idle in Drive when engine fully hot. Idling at 700-800 RPM. Light goes off when RPMs increased. Oil level full & have done regular oil & filter changes every 3500-4500 miles.

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge-if normal -replace the oil pressure switch -if it continures to go low-could be the oil pump/engine bearings etc.
