Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 125000 miles

I bought my vehicle from a private owner and the cruise control was working for the previous owner, it hasn't worked for me and I had the battery replaced. I plan to go back to ask them to do a reset of the computer. Or help. Do you think this will work

Chances are resetting the computer won't help. There are many components that can cause it not to work. Have you experienced any other problems that may point me in the right direction?

I spoke with the owners and they said it worked for them, before they sold the car to me. If you didn't notice my birthday was yesterday, and I did get up his morning to to Sears auto. Just wanted to be honest. Fri 6-25 going to Sears. What questions should I ask please?

Explaine the problem and ask questions like, "could the vheicle speed sensor (VSS) be the problem? Would it just be a loose connection to the power control module (PCM)?"

By the way, Happy Birthday! I didn't realize. I hope it was a good one. I'm to a point that I don't want to remember them. (LOL)

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
Joe
