1998 Dodge Caravan alternator removal

We have already tried replacing the battery which was still under its three year warranty. The problem lies with the alternator. The question being, how do we get the alternator out to replace it?

Release hood latch and open hood.
Removal/Installation Of Battery Cables







Disconnect battery negative cable.
Remove windshield wiper housing.
Remove accessory drive belt.
Generator







Remove bolt holding top of generator to mount bracket.
Wire Connectors







Remove bolt holding bottom of generator to lower pivot bracket.
Disengage push-in field wire connector from back of generator.
Remove nut holding B+ wire terminal to back of generator.
Remove B+ terminal from generator.
INSTALLATION


Place B+ terminal in position on generator.
Install nut to hold B+ wire terminal to back of generator
Connect the push-in field wire connector into back of generator.
Install bolt to hold bottom of generator to lower pivot bracket.
Install bolt to hold top of generator to mount bracket.
Install accessory drive belt.
Install windshield wiper housing.
Connect battery negative cable.
Verify generator charge rate.
