It may not have run out of gas, may be that a different problem has happened that coincided with a low gas tank. Try putting some starter fluid or carb cleaner into the throttle body and see if it starts that way.

gas ran out put gas in and the guy also did the starter fluid as well it would start for a sec after that then die again

Good, it is at least fuel related.
You can check for spark to verify it is only fuel related, or check for fuel pressure.
Can you hear the hum of the pump when you trun the key to the on position, but no crank it.
Sometimes you need a 2nd person with a funnel stuck in the filler neck as an amplifier to hear it.
