My car ran hot today for the first time. I checked the fuses all is well, and the coolant was full.

Noticed it on a cool day in virginia, as i was waiting at a drive through...

Turned off the car and waited for it to cool down, then drove home without any temp gauge going crazy....

The radiator fans don't seem to be turning on however. Is there a seperate switch/fuse that turns these on? or Is it a thermostat issue?

thanks
Bobby

Wait for it to cool down open radiator and check coolant level
if low add as needed
and check for leaks
check thermostat
check fuses and relays

I had the same problem with my 1997 dodge caravan, 6 cyclinder, 3.3, the fan relay was bad. It was located on the frame and under the acual fans. It was almost impossible to find and take off.
