I was driving my 1997 Dodge Caravan a few nights ago and everything seemed fine until I got to a stop sign. I started to go again but then my oil light came on and the brakes and power steering failed. I'm guessing the engine stalled or something to that degree.

Is there any way to tell what's going on? I recently had all my fluids changed and I checked their levels and it doesn't look like anything is leaking. Any help would be appreciated.

All of the things you mentioned could be the result of the engine dieing on you. THere are many things that could cause this. Has the check engine light ever come on? Have you had any trouble in the receint past? Has the fuel filter, pump, or tune-up been serviced in receintly?

Let me know.

The check engine light hasn't come on yet, although the instrument cluster does fail every once in a while but usually works after a few tries. Haven't changed the fuel filter, pump, or had a tune-up recently. Perhaps that would be the case?

Thank you for the help.

It sounds like a weak or bad fuel pump. Here is a how to for checking it.

You will need a pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them to you. Let me know what you find.
