1996 Dodge Caravan recently shaking

A week ago my van started shaking and has gotten progressively worse. Thought at first that it needed tires and replace front two tires, the vehicle still shakes violently as speed is increased thru 40mph and dissapates with acceleration. What could be the cause

Does the vibration stop if you release the throttle? Where do you feel the vibration most, the steering wheel or the seat / floor? Did you replace all tires or only 2?

Yes the vibration does stop when the throttle is released, vibration is felt most seat floor, and it is felt in steering wheel. Also, I replaced only the front two tires the back ones appear to be fine

Have the CV joints checked for excessive.
