1995 dodge caravan w/ 180,000km. I am trying to find out the name to a part that needs replacement. It connects the lower radiator hose into the engine block. The lower radiator hose is the usual rubber, but the piece that I am trying to find out is alluminium and has a split that goes up through the firewall to the heater core. I went to a parts store and they had no clue what I was talking about and I can't find out what it is on the internet. Also there is no part number on it. Can you tell me what this part is called?

Also I have a water pump leak. I was wondering if I have to replace the pump because I don't notice a change in the engine, accept that I have to fill up the rad resivoir constantly. Could a seal just be gone or is it the pump? Also about how much do water pumps go for($$)?

OK, I am not sure what the part name is. I am sure that it is a Dealer Part Only and that is why you are unable to find it.

The water pump should be replace it shouldn't cost you anymore than $50 for the pump.
