I know my Dodge is old and has seen a lot of miles. I have a problem of where approx 1 quart of oil is needed every 50 miles, and I travel at least a 100 a day for work. At first everyone thought it was the oil pan since it was all banged up.A new one was put on and still the leak, you can see it on the ground underneath and a constant oil film buildup on the back door window. Other than that she still runs pretty good, except for a slight problem with the heat. Is there hope for my Dodge without costly repairs , or is it time for Dodge heaven?

Hi there,

Give the engine a good clean and run it and watch for the leak, usual places are the rear main seal, front crankshaft seal, oil filter oil pressure sender, you should see the oil leaking as it sounds excessive. Let me know where you feel it is coming from and i will advise.

Thank you I have heard clean the engine (it is dirty) to see where the leak is and oil filter pressure sender is hitting my gut. One reason being is that the oil pressure needle never moves anymore and rather full or low a sharp left turn or lean to the left makes the oil light come on.
