My check gauge light comes on sometimes. What does that mean?

If an important gauge like your temperature or oil or voltage reads abnormally, the check gauges light comes on. Its to get your attention. Its just a warning light. Make sure your fluids and all the proper readings are not off limits. If your engine is running ok, its nothing to worry about. A wire may be grounding, or a sensor may be off. Oil, coolant, and battery should be ckecked. OK?
