My car's ETC - electronic throttle control light is on and my car only goes 15 miles per hour. What is the fix for this? This may not be a transmission problem, I didn't know where to post this so I chose transmission.

Give me the exact model. Although I do know what this is about, im not showing the location of module in my referrence material. So I can show you. I do know in other vehicles it is called a throttle positiion sensor, and it tells the computer how much pressure you have on the gas pedal, and inturn the computer, adjusts fuel, air, and spark. And in most cars it is located up on the throttle body, as part of the throttle plate.

Hi again, I just looked this problem up in the technical service bulletin and it is a problem with the vehicles computer, it says that the computer has to be "flashed" with new software in order to fix this problem, so it is a dealer, issue. They would have to put it on the correct scan tool and load the new software. I also see that other people have this problem, in the forum.

This is covered by warranty and they will have to do it for free.
