The car starts almost all the time. Some times it is a little hesitant but will start. Once it starts, I drive it for a short period and then the engine just stops. The lights and everything else stay on and I know it's not the starter or alternator or battery. I thought it could possibly be the fuel pump but there seems to be an excess of gas instead of a lack. If anyone could give me any possible leads it would be greatly appreciated.

The engine needs a good crankshaft and good camshaft sense to start and run. All filters, all secondary wiring and plugs all should be in good condition.
Your engine has OBDII diagnostics and also a Mitsubishi connector for Chryslers DRBIII and most other scan tools available. If you plug one in and read it, it will show all stored codes of any wiring circuit failures either complete or just once in a while, I hope you take the time to read about how it works here on the heading under site menu. Have a good day, and good luck of course.
