Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Dodge Avenger 6 cyl Automatic 70000 miles

My boyfriend has a 1997 Dodge Avenger ES and is having popping in his engine and also the manifold is glowing. He replaced both the front and rear manifolds and checked the vacuum lines. He has tried a whole bunch of things and hasn't come up with any solutions. Can someone please help us! Thanks!

Entire exhaust manifold red? Both sides red?
Have you done a compression test?

Just the rear one is red and a compression test was done.
