hi i bought a 95 dodge avenger about 2 weeks ago and it was running fin when i bought it . i hooked up an amplifier to my battery to power my subwoofers in my trunk and it drained my battery dead. when i charged it it was idleing at 800rpms and now everytime i start it it stalls and dosnt wanna stay running and when im driving it and hit the brakes it almost dies ..my friend who knows alot about cars said it might be my alternator .do you think i need a new one.after it runs for awhile it runs fine its just when it starts up and drives it wants to die

If it wasn't doing that before you installed the amp. best check the alternator output whether its capable-you might have to use a farret/capacitor to uphold the load for the amp

After you're done blowing out your eardrums for no good reason, drive the car at highway speed, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals. That will relearn minimum throttle that was lost from memory when the battery died.

By the way, please understand that the noise you make is rude. Please be courteous around other people.
