Having problems with my dashboard lights going out and at night when I turn my lights on the dashboard goes out and so do the back lights. I have changed the fuses and still the same thing. Should I change the turn signal combination switch?

Hello,

Do you know if this happens during the daytime?

If it only happens at night, it could be due to a faulty light sensor. The sensor that is located on the center of the dash close to the windshield. It could be sending incorrect info and triggering the lights to shut off.

Now it this issue happens regardless of day or night; it could be a faulty light switch or a wiring issue.

Thank you.

Hi Sean,

Okay, so the dashboard lights during the day take a minute to come on, but at night when I turn on the lights the dashboard and back lights go out and won’t come on until later the next day.

Does your vehicle has automatic headlights? Typically, vehicles with automatic headlights have the light sensor. That is located at the center of the dash close to the windshield.

There should be a relay for the light on the left side of the instrument panel.
If the relay is good. Then it could be a bad switch or fault with in the BCM.
