Alarm sounding for no apparent reason

The alarm goes off sometimes even when the car is not locked. Usually two to three times a day. In the past it has been observed to trigger the alarm when another car was locked.

Hello,

This can happen when the drivers door latch wears causing the mirco-switch inside the latch to be triggered. I would unplug the latch to see if it goes off, if not replace the latch. You will need to remove the door panel, here is a guide to help walk you through the steps.
