I was replacement the crank position sensor with a new on but when I pulled the 3-wire connector the 3 wires pulled out from the connector, so I have a new connector but the 3-wire come from the truck is red, green and black but I don't know where each color goes in the connector.

Please, help me.

Your help will be appreciated very much,

Raul

Hi,

The only thing I was able to find was in the wiring schematic. I attached a pic below showing the connector and wiring colors. The red will be centered. However, based on how the connector is held, the other two can be different.

I don't feel that trying it both ways would hurt anything, so you may want to give that a try.

Also, I'm not sure if you are familiar with it, but there is a recall on the crankshaft timing rotor. Again, I'm not sure what was happening, but this may be the cause of the problems. You should contact a dealer with your VIN number and confirm your vehicle falls under the recall.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

joe
