Does a used ECU/PCM need to be reprogrammed?

Does a used ECU/PCM from a car that is the same make and model as mine need to be reprogrammed?

Yes, it does because each PCM is coded to the VIN number of the car which allows it to communicate to the remainder of the computer and electronics in the car. Here is how to replace the PCM and how to program it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
