I removed a 3-inch body lift. I forgot to disconnect the clutch linkage. Now the clutch goes to the floor with no resistance. I replaced the linkage arm with the correct size but there is still no resistance, and the clutch still doesn't work. T-19 4 speed manual transmission.

Hi,

When you lowered it, did the linkage jam? I'm wondering if there is a problem with the release fork. If you have the linkage installed and it is moving properly. It sounds like something internally has broken.

When you say the clutch doesn't work, does it not disengage or is it always disengaged?

Let me know. By the way, great vehicle. I had a Rallye years ago and loved it. I finally got rid of it when the frame rusted through for the 4th or 5th time. Still miss it. LOL

Take care and let me know.

Joe

Thank you for your reply. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The throw out bearing and sleeve move forward and contact the fingers but do not push the fingers to disengage the clutch. So, I think the fork got moved on the bar that it's attached to. Looking at other pics the fork has a bolt on top and keyways. I'll try and look to see if it moved. Seems like the most logical answer. I attached a pic of other clutch forks. And tried to upload a video but I don't know if it worked. Thanks again.

Hi,

If that is fully engaged, you are correct. It doesn't push the fingers on the pressure plate to disengage the clutch disc. I have a feeling something bent or sheared related to the fork. I do see in pic 1 that the fork appears to have a location for a shear pin. That is my first suspect.

Let me know what you find.
