Without warning, no slipping or anything, clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and will not go into gear.

Hi,

The clutch itself is fine. However, the clutch system is hydraulic. Either you have a failed slave cylinder or a bad clutch master cylinder.

The first thing I suggest is to locate the clutch fluid reservoir under the hood. It will be mounted on the firewall near where the clutch would be located in the vehicle. Make sure it is full.

If it is low, refill it and try the clutch. If there is no change, check for leaks. Check around the clutch master cylinder where it mounts to the firewall. Also, follow the hose to the transmission bell housing where it attaches to the clutch slave cylinder. Check the line and check the connection. Additionally, look for evidence of fluid coming from where the transmission bell housing attaches to the engine.

See pic 1 for slave location.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
