2003 Other Citroen Models cam belt loose/broken plus damage
Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Other Citroen Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 54,000 miles
my daughters car broke down recently due to the cam belt being loose and/or broken together with pistons. The manufacturers replace cam belt at 100,000 miles and as she has only done 54,000 this shouldn't have ocurred. Surely the cost of repair should be down to Citroen?

most manufacturer's will state the belt should be replaced @ 65,000 miles or @ 5 years, whichever comes first .. you are out of luck i'm afraid they will not admit liability !
