I went to start my van this morning it has a half a tank of gas and no previous problems or warnings and no lights on within the instrument panel. The van turned over and sounded like it started but as soon as i relased the key it died, so I sat in the driver seat and gave it gas if I hold the pedal it will run but as soon as I release the gas pedal it stops running immediately it does not even "choke" and die. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated in the pas t week I have a tractor that won't start a four wheeler that wont start and 9 inches of snow Ugggh A very distressed mother

If the battery was recently disconnected or run dead, the engine computer will have to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it must be in control of idle speed. To do this, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals.
